StatsUpdate
Editorial policy & corrections
Our standards for useful articles, accountable recommendations and clearly explained data.
What we publish
StatsUpdate publishes pop-culture criticism, entertainment guides, cricket explainers, browser games and business directories. A character ranking is an editorial argument, not an objective measurement. A quiz is entertainment, not a psychological or educational assessment. A directory entry is information about a business, not a guarantee of its services.
Evidence and attribution
Our standard is to link factual claims to identifiable sources: official scorecards for match figures, manufacturers for specifications, operators for advertised itineraries, and the work itself for film and television analysis. Sources can disagree or become outdated. Prices and product limits need a date and relevant conditions; missing information should be identified instead of guessed.
We distinguish desk research from firsthand experience. Reading an operator website is not a visit, a product listing is not a hands-on test, and a published testimonial is not our own interview. Historical articles may need additional sourcing; report a specific unsupported statement so it can be reviewed.
Bylines and assistance
Named contributors receive a byline and an author profile when that information is available. The StatsUpdate Editorial Desk is a publication byline for material without an individually credited contributor; it does not imply a credentialed specialist or a large newsroom.
AI-assisted drafting and editing may be used. Assistance does not establish that a claim is true. Sources, calculations and interpretations remain subject to editorial review. The explanatory guides added in September 2026 were prepared with AI assistance and label hypothetical examples separately from recorded results.
Rankings and data
Rankings should explain the selection criteria, period, scope and meaningful limitations. Sports records need a competition and cutoff date. Cross-platform follower totals may include the same person several times; an animated counter is not proof of a live platform measurement. Worked examples must identify invented numbers as illustrative.
Commercial interests
Advertising is separate from editorial judgment. Sponsored placements, affiliate links and supplied products should be disclosed alongside the relevant content. A business owner may request a factual correction; that request does not establish a right to a favorable ranking. Readers can ask about a potential conflict through our contact page.
Corrections and updates
Email royal9gorkhali@gmail.com with the article URL, the disputed passage and supporting evidence. Please distinguish a factual error from a disagreement with a review. Avoid sending private identity documents or unrelated personal information.
Substantive corrections should explain what changed and show an updated date. Original publication dates remain visible. Cosmetic edits do not make an old article new. Response time depends on the research needed; the contact form opens an email draft and does not claim that a message has been delivered.
